As Digestive system, liver is one of the vital organs of the body, in addition to being one of the largest. In this article we are not going to focus on the functioning of the liver, but rather in the liver and their diseases.
As we said, the liver is one of the most important bodies in the body and its functions are several, within which stresses the processing of food into energy. Another of its function is to act as filters, to eliminate toxins from the blood as well as alcohol. The liver produces a liquid of yellowish-green which works as a means for digestion, whose name is bile.
Unfortunately, this important body is not free of evils, so that there are certain conditions that may cause a malfunction in him, to these conditions the referred to as liver diseases.
Within these liver diseases are some of the more common than surely you have heard appoint or even has suffered, or at least some acquaintance. These are the hepatitis A, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.
The most important thing is to be known of these diseases is that they are due to infection or virus, while other conditions are the result of other actions such as the intake of medicines in flashy, intake of poison, toxins or consume too much alcohol. Read the rest of this entry »
