200 East Supper Club's Overview

In February 2007, The 200 East Supper Club opened the doors, located on the main level of the historic Seneca Hotel at 200 East Chestnut Street in Chicago's Gold Coast area (312-266-4500). The management team consist of Tony Navarro, a 30 year veteran Chef/restaurant owner who now oversees the kitchen crew, Tim Fong, former proprietor of Suzy Wong's and former manager of Pal Joey's Italian Steakhouse, is the General Manager, and George Cozzi bartender par excellence for over three decades, is the Bar Manager.

Together, this team of restaurant experts had a vision for 200 East-to open a moderately priced business-casual establishment featuring live entertainment. The ambience of 200 East coveys the feeling of a traditional neighborhood restaurant not available to this Gold Coast neighborhood prior to its opening. The old world, old fashion, down home, authentic Italian inspired recipes featured at 200 East are geared to this area's couples and singles alike who crave a reasonable priced menu and who also will enjoy listening to 200 East's upbeat, live music that encourage dancing every evening.

200 East's Bar Manager, George Cozzi, was a familiar face at Gibson's for the past 13 years. George's boyish movie star looks and his permanent smile at once elicit a warm and fuzzy feeling in each patron. George is a Hall-of -Famer, having been inducted into the Bartender's Hall of Fame in Las Vegas in 1996. He is in a selective group of but 12 others from all over the United States. George's favorite creation is his Passion Martini, consisting of Passion Fruit flavored vodka, Chambord, and a mixture of pineapple juice with a splash of orange juice. George's personality speaks for itself, as he states, "I enjoy having my bar customers feel as if they're in their own home while having me serve them.

In this Gold Coast area, a great percentage of the restaurants are corporately owned, and subsequently, the personal touch is lacking. 200 East harkens back to the good old days when every customer is warmly greeted at the door with a handshake and/or a hug. The management team is there to ensure that your every desire is fulfilled.

Stellar service and outstanding food in this supper club's subdued elegant atmosphere will guarantee return visits to Chicago's newest hot spot. 200 East plans to become a home away from home for their patrons.
